To realize quasi-homogeneous ignition during pulsating, shockless explosion combustion, the proper consideration of chemical kinetics is of great importance. Here, we will study the chemical properties of selected fuels with the aim to eliminate or adjust the temperature dependence of the auto-ignition delay time under the relevant conditions. This will be done by appropriately mixing different fuel components to achieve homogeneous constant-volume combustion. The concept will be demonstrated in one-dimensional numerical simulations.
